Kabosh - Those you pass on the Street

Kabosh is bringing Those You Pass On The Street  to An Coire – Maghera on Saturday 23rd January at 8pm.

Elizabeth, the widow of an RUC officer, walks into a Sinn Fein office to seek help with anti-social behaviour in her area and there she meets Frank a community officer…
From this friendship we witness the unfolding and exploration of the attitudes and ingrained notions that still divide society in Northern Ireland today.

Those You Pass On The Street, written by Laurence McKeown, directed by Paula McFetridge and produced by Kabosh, is a powerful piece that explores the complexities of dealing with the legacy of conflict, especially when that conflict is localised and personal. It contrasts party political positioning with individual needs. It challenges the view that any mechanism for dealing with the past is simply about ‘whose side gets what’.
