Carntogher 'Stay Active' Club launched

As part of the overall Healthy Living Project a club specifically for Over 50's has been launched called 'Stay Active' Club. The club will run every Tuesday morning from 10am - 1pm and is open to both male & females.

Trip to Roe Valley Country Park - 25/05/2010

A special series of courses and activities will be delivered to promote healthy living and to give specialist advice on healthy eating and nutrition, the importance of physical activity, relaxation and freedom from stress. 

To launch the club a trip to Roe Valley Country Park in Limavady was organised on Tuesday 25th May and the good weather ensured and good trip was had by all. 

The following activities have been planned for the coming few weeks -

Tuesday 1st June -

10am Tea/Coffee on arrival

10.30 - 11.30am Yoga (introduction)

10.30 - 1pm Community Pharmacy workshop with Adrian Glass - Topic: Cholestrol

 

Tuesday 6th June -

10am Tea/Coffee on arrival

10.30 - 12noon - Talk on Gardening with Diane McClean

12noon - 1pm - Visit to local garden

 

Tuesday 15th June -

10am Tea/Coffee on arrival

10.30 - 1pm  Visit to Garden in Magherafelt (Mrs A Buchanan)

(Small donation towards local charity)
