Glór Mhachaire Rátha Annual Dinner Dance
The annual Glor na nGael dinner dance took place in Walsh’s Hotel, Maghera recently.
The night was a great success with 85 people in attendance at the dinner.
It was a great occasion for the Gaels of Maghera and the surrounding areas to come together and celebrate all of the hard work and successes achieved throughout the year.
Guests were welcomed with a complimentary glass of mulled wine on arrival and traditional music played by local artists, Pádraig Ó Mianáin, Aoibheann and Deaglan Ó Doibhlin.
Everyone agreed that the four course meal was delicious from beginning to end and a big ‘Go raibh mile maith agat’ to Niamh Mc Glinchey and Declan O Kane who played a 30 minute set after the meal. The night also included storytelling with Naoise Mc Glinchey, a fantastic raffle with prizes donated by local businesses and the auction of a signed Kerry jersey. The night concluded with a couple of céilí dances and music by Dj Chris Dallat.
A big Go raibh mile maith agat to Walsh’s Hotel, all of the sponsors and everyone involved for their hard work and dedication to make the night the success it was. A special Míle Buíochas to Seán Kerr for doing a fantastic job yet again as Fear an tí.
