Thanks to a grant from Foras na Gaeilge two youth development officers have been appointed to organize events and activities for Club Iarscoile and Club Eachtra.
Club Iarscoile is an after-schools club for children at the bunscoil while Club Eachtra is a pilot programme aimed at pupils who attended the bunscoil and are now in secondary school education. It is also open to any young person who has conversational Irish and wants to practice it as well as having a good time.
It is hoped that within the next year a full programme of events will be developed for An Club Eachtra to ensure that young people have opportunities to use the Irish language on a regular basis.
