Getting to know your computer
This course is designed for an absolute beginner. It will teach you how to operate your PC, create & save files and the basic operations of Microsoft Word/Excel. If you have no knowledge of computers but want to get started, this is the course for you.
Quark Xpress: ‘Promote your own business through IT’
Have you ever tried to produce promotional or information leaflets for your business/group that look professional but feel you could benefit from using a desk top publishing package like Quark Xpress - then this is the course for you. The course will take you step by step through the design of a promotional leaflet to the stage were it is ready for sending to the printers. Quark Xpress is ideal for all types of publications and not just the production of booklets.
Introduction to Digital Photography
This course will act as an introduction for new owners of digital cameras. The course will include some guidance on how to use your camera with the majority of the course concentrating on the downloading, scanning and manipulation of images using Adobe Photoshop. (Students must provide their own cameras)
New CLAIT – OCR Level 1 Certificate for IT Users
This course provides a basic introduction to the use of IT and enables learners to gain a range of skills. It is an essential step for anyone who has limited/no I.T experience or has completed a beginner’s course and would like to gain more confidence & understanding of IT while obtaining a qualification along the way.
OCR SAGE Computerised Accounts Level 1
This qualification is aimed at those candidates who are new to the skills and knowledge required for bookkeepers. Suitable for those studying in preparation for employment in bookkeeping or those already employed and wish to develop an introductory knowledge to SAGE accounts.
Salsa Dancing
Want to get more active but hate the gym & aerobic classes? Why not try Salsa dancing! This course provides a basic introduction into the dance – Salsa and would be suitable for beginners or those with some experience of Salsa. It is so much fun and great craic, a brilliant way to get you in shape. Sign up with a partner or friend or even just yourself. No previous experience necessary.
Set Dancing
This short course will give you an opportunity to learn and practice the art of set dancing. Come along for good music, great exercise and guaranteed evening of enjoyment.
Adult Keep Fit
With Christmas over you may want to work off all those extra pounds you gained or just get into shape for the New Year. Jane Mullan will provide an exercise class to music incorporating aerobics, muscle toning and relaxation.
Kidz Keep Fit
Kidz keep fit classes are non-competitive and fun. Children will sample a wide range of sporting activities like Aerofit, Dance, Fun Circuits and Active Story Time. The aim of the class is to motivate children to join in activities that encourage fitness and healthy growth while increasing confidence and imagination – Whilst having fun!!
Yoga
Twenty first century life can be very hectic. Students will achieve satisfaction from working towards a more relaxed, balanced and fulfilled lifestyle.
Painting for Pleasure
This course is for the complete beginner or those with some experience in painting. Claire will guide and assist students in some of the many forms of painting – mainly oil or watercolour.
Emergency First Aid Course
This course is ideal where the Health & Safety Regulations do not apply, but where a good sound knowledge of First Aid is required by bodies such as: voluntary organisations / sports and community clubs and groups.
