Carntogher Launches Volunteer Project - April 2007
Carntogher Community Association welcomed over 30 volunteers to the community garden, at An Carn Resource Centre on Sunday 1 April, to help celebrate the launch of their new volunteer project which has received grant funding to the tune of £76, 515.
Volunteer Open Day at An Carn
A Volunteer Open Day has been organised for Sunday 20th November 2006 at the An Carn Centre, Tirkane, Maghera. The event has been organised so that people can come along and find out more about the Volunteer Initiative. The event will run from 2pm - 4pm and members of the Carntogher team will on hand to answer any questions you may have.
Carntogher Volunteer Opportunities
A wide variety of opportunites exist for members of the community to get involved in our activities. These include: Translators, photographers, administration, reception duties, shop assistants, environmental workers plus many more. Be part of something bigger - Volunteer Today
On Friday 11th November 2005, Joe Mahon of Lesser Spotted Ulster launched a unique and innovative Volunteering project organised by Carntogher Community Association. The project will provide opportunities for people to engage with their local environment and community through volunteering. In today’s hectic world many people feel cut off from their local surroundings and are searching for ways to reconnect and to become part of “something bigger”
